The Nightguard
The Nightguard is a response to the overwhelming request for the Guardian on the Nightstalker handle platform. We also shortened the blade to under 3 inches to make it more CCW friendly in those states that take issue with blade length, and to make it more inconspicuous for EDC. It fits in between the Nightshade Reverse Tanto and the Nightstalker in blade length. I'm very pleased with how nasty this thing turned out!
The blade is a T.Kell twist on the Wharncliffe blade with some Reverse Tanto and pikal thrown in. The Wharncliffe is often thought of as a go-to CQB blade with the Reverse Tanto being a close second. So why not make the ultimate CQB blade by combining the two and putting them on our famed Night series handle platform! The Nightguard has a dead flat typical edge, We added reverse tanto style reverse edges and this thing turned out to be nothing but nasty. Keeping with the CQB blade theme it has a very steep 30 degree grind allowing it to make deep and wide cuts while maintaining a blade thickness to withstand it all. Made from 80CRV2 high carbon steel heat treated to 59 HRC using our detailed heat treatment process.
Made from .165 thick steel there's nothing you can throw at the Nightguard that it can't handle. Made on our famous Night series handle platform it has a secure ring grip that locks you to the knife in forward or reverse grip, and allows for maximum comfort and blade retention with the perfectly contoured grips. Plated in the most durable blade coating on earth, our exclusive Nickle Boron T1C finish to provide a nearly indestructible blade coating that is so low in friction it flies thru cuts while completely protecting your blade from corrosion.
