"BLUF: Buy that TKell knife you’ve been looking at. Worth the wait, worth the price, worth using your hard-earned money for what appears to be a blade for life from a company that cares. My Nighthawk was worth the wait. Extremely sharp and tanto blade comes to a needle-like point. Blade thickness is robust. Thumb jimping is almost too subtle, but it works well. Satisfied with the custom engraving. Sheath is nice; the aggressive thumb release jimping and click-to-seat function is much appreciated. The icing on the cake was the top notch customer service responsiveness from who I assume was CW or one of the other folks. I had an issue with the ordering site/process and they simply made it right. No arguing, no hassle, no “you did something wrong/ misunderstood something” so prevalent in today’s world. Although you would think one custom knife would be enough for most folks, much less just one per a particular maker, the new Gideon keeps calling my name (but will I answer? ð§)."

"Just received my new Nighthawk today. I have to say that I am blown away at the quality of this knife. Expectations are definitely exceeded. It fits perfectly in my hands. The grip is very well made and is tacky in all the right places. I bought this knife as I was referred to TKell by a good friend. This knife will be an edc and the first of many TKell knives to come. All I can say is, if you've been thinking about buying one, or are on the fence, just go for it. You won't be disappointed. Any wait time is well worth it as the quality is second to none."

Claims and boasts are like the wind, oft times, never as needed when needed most! High Hopes, Blunt Results
"I was extremely excited to receive this knife. I’m a big fan of tanto blade designs, and after reading the glowing reviews and seeing it listed as “in stock,” I jumped on the purchase right away. Customer service and communication were solid throughout — very responsive when I reached out. Shipping Confusion The knife was listed as in stock with no indication that it was a preorder. I knew that preorder items had a stated wait time of 3 to 6 months, so I expected this one to ship immediately. After two weeks with no update, I contacted customer service and was told it would ship the following week. It actually shipped two weeks later and ultimately arrived five weeks after my order — which wouldn’t have been a big issue if expectations were set properly up front. Initial Impressions Out of the box, the knife feels incredible in hand. The build is solid, and the ergonomics are spot-on. It feels like a high-quality blade meant for serious use. Unfortunately, the case was a letdown. The edges of the sheath were extremely sharp — enough to risk cutting skin or snagging fabric. I had to sand and trim them down myself just to make it safe and practical to carry. Edge Quality – The Real Issue This is where things really fell apart. Despite the premium $300 price tag, the blade came extremely dull. The very tip and the tip of the recurve were both blunted. It struggled to cut even tape on a box and failed a simple paper test — instead of slicing, it just tore the page. Out of all the knives I’ve purchased in recent months (and there have been quite a few), this was both the most expensive and the dullest. For this price point, I expected a professionally sharpened edge ready to perform — not something I’d need to send out for resharpening immediately. Final Thoughts The knife design is fantastic, and it feels great in the hand. But between the confusing shipping process, unsafe sheath, and shockingly poor edge sharpness, this was a major letdown. There’s a lot of potential here, but execution fell short in critical areas. Rating: â â âââ (2 out of 5) Beautiful build, disappointing delivery — especially where it counts most."
